Jack knew the right things to do to keep Thomas from spiralling off down some self loathing path and he wished that he'd met Jack so much earlier in his life for the both of them things could have been so much better. Or maybe it had to be at that point so they appreciated what they had so much more. Thomas did. Like getting lost for a moment to the kiss.

He stroked Jack's shoulder. "You don't need to worry about that any more." Just like he didn't have to worry about taking care of everyone and no one checking in on him. Jack did so he knew there wasn't any danger of things repeating again.

Thomas smiled as he heard and saw the look on Jack's face. He kissed Jack's cheek as he picked up his pace a little, trying to get Jack to feel like that again.
