It still amazed Thomas how much they could talk about still, they'd been together now for a while and they could talk to each other. Of course they had a lot they didn't need to actually say to communicate as well. Which was wonderful and ways of saying things to each other that sounded one way yet to them meant something very different.
Like then. Thomas was so pleased with the nickname he'd used in the moment and that Jack was joining in using it. He already had a good idea what his special reward from the constable would be and it was fun Jack wording it that way to him. Letting him know how close he was but still playing along. Thomas stroked a thumb across Jack's thigh. Telling him he understood and was ready as he continued.
