Birthday Surprise for Thomas

It had been a well-kept secret of Jack's for months. He'd dug out his old uniform, and bought a pair of tear-away pants to make sure his uniform didn't get ruined. He was both excited and nervous, but it was for a really good cause. Thomas deserved the best birthday possible.

He'd left him a message, telling him to take a seat and wait. But the uniform bit would be a surprise. When it was time, he stepped into the house.

"So here you are, Mr. Barrow. You've been a very hard man to catch," he said in his most professional voice, biting back the smirk. "The chase has been fun, I must admit."

Jack's already doing a little dance with his hips as he approaches his handsome husband. It's been a while since he's danced, but it's coming back to him little by little.

"I'm okay now Jack." He nuzzled into Jack's neck. "Thank you darling." Because it should be said out loud how Thomas gray and was thankful for Jack taking care of him when he needed it.

"I'm glad." He played with Thomas's hair, humming softly. "Of course. I'll always look after you."

It was always his priority. Thomas meant the world to him.

Thomas loved it when Jack hummed, it meant the world to him because it was another way to let him know that Jack was happy and relaxed. The only thing he liked more for that was when Jack was singing. He had such a lovely voice and hearing it was a treat.

He looked up at Jack smiling, not wanting him to stop Jack humming. Enjoying it. Enjoying their moment like that.

Jack had never hummed so much. It was so easy to be genuinely happy and relaxed now. Thomas brought so many good things into his life and it more than made up for all the hurt in the past.

He continued to hum as he gently washed his husband's back, wanting to look after him more.

Thomas slipped an arm around Jack, so he wasn't getting in the way of what Jack was doing. Enjoying the intimacy of it.

Still listening to Jack humming.

"There. Nice and clean," Jack smiled, leaning in for another kiss. The moment was so perfect and he couldn't get enough of it. He kept kissing Thomas while wrapping his arms around him.

He couldn't stop a smile as they kissed like that. Thomas felt like humming then himself because he was so happy. He didn't. He instead gazed at Jack for a few moments.

"Can I do that for you?" He offered.

"Absolutely," Jack kissed his husband once more and got into position, so Thomas could wash his back. He was eager to feel those lovely hands on him again.

When they were moved so Jack was in front of Thomas he missed the back of Jack's neck before he did anything else. Then he started washing Jack's back just like he'd done for him before. With just as much care. His was njoying touching his husband, careful strokes across muscles. Dropping the cloth he was using to give Jack a little shoulder massage.

"How does that feel?"

Jack let out a happy, relaxed sigh. Those hands felt so good on his muscles, and especially his shoulders. Another wonderful, intimate thing for them to share.

"It feels really good, darling. You're good with your hands."

"Yes, but this is something I will only do for you." He leaned and kissed Jack's shoulder. Still running his hands over Jack's shoulders, then more to touch Jack than actually massaging any more.

"Lucky me." He turned his head to glance at Thomas, smiling fondly at him. The touch felt heavenly and he wanted more. "It's all for you."

Thomas rested an arm over Jack's shoulder, hand reaching to his chest, holding him.

"All mine." He kissed Jack's cheek.

"Damn right." He sighed happily, caressing his husband's arm slowly. Being in Thomas's arms made him feel so complete. He was safe and truly loved. "You're so good to me, Thomas."

He kissed Jack's neck. "It's easy with you because you're so good to me." Thomas was determined to make up for what had happened to Jack before they'd met. He wanted to make sure he was treated right.

He closed his eyes with a happy sigh, tilting his head to give Thomas more room to kiss. "It's easy with you, too." Thomas had helped him so much. Jack had gone from feeling used to feeling genuinely loved. His happiness and pleasure finally mattered, too.

"Thank you, Thomas. For showing me what love is," he said softly.

Thomas moved so his cheek was resting on Jack's shoulder, head to one side looking at his husband lovingly, arms around him still. And still definitely smiling.

"I will always give that to you." He had to pause and swallowed whatever he was going to say a moment. He should say thank you to jacknfor giving him reasons to live and love again. But most of all Jack reminded Thomas he was someone again.

That look gave him butterflies. He loved this man so much.

"I feel it every day, darling," he smiled. Thomas deserved the very best and he felt honored to be the one to give him all that. Jack was so proud of his husband.

"I'm glad, because I feel it every day too." Thomas pressed his lips to Jack's shoulder and stayed there smiling, holding his husband. He didn't want to move from that moment.

"I'm glad."

Luckily for Thomas, Jack didn't want to move yet either. It felt so perfect being in his husband's arms like that. Safe and loved, and so happy.

"Oh shush." Thomas said softly, the love in his voice as he said it. Closing his eyes as he held Jack. Finding a peace in that moment.

"How did I get so lucky?" Jack grinned, pressing closer to Thomas. He shared the peace and wonderfulness of the moment. He reached for Thomas's hand, giving it an affectionate squeeze.

Thomas moved his thumb, stroking the spot across Jack's chest. Wondering the exact same thing. How had he got so lucky. A new life with someone he loved, who loved him. He threaded his fingers with Jack's as he held his hand. Kissing Jack's shoulder again.

"I love you." Was his reply.

"I love you too. For all time," he smiled, nuzzling into Thomas's temple. This was their little piece of heaven. He looked at their hands, thinking about everything they'd experienced so far. The butterflies in his stomach as they kissed for the first time.

"Forever and always." Thomas stroked a hand on Jack's arm.

He still got butterflies at times when he kissed Jack. It was special when he felt like that, it was when he didn't too but it was always even better when he did.
