Jack couldn’t help but smile as Thomas rolled him onto his back. The teasing about a cat or dog was classic Thomas, but the shift in his expression, the depth in his eyes.. it made Jack’s heart swell. He wrapped his arms around his husband, pulling him closer as they kissed.

When the kiss finally broke, Jack looked up at Thomas. "I could never forget that," he said softly, his voice full of conviction. "I love you too, more than anything. And whatever we decide, whether it’s a dog, a cat, or a whole bunch of kids, we’ll do it together."

Jack ran his fingers through Thomas’s hair, his touch gentle. "You’re right, it’ll be a new challenge, but it’s one I’m ready for. As long as I’ve got you by my side, I know we can handle anything. We’ve already built something amazing together, and I’m excited to see where we take it next." He leaned up to kiss Thomas again, this time with a mixture of love and excitement for the future they were imagining together.
