Birthday Surprise for Thomas

It had been a well-kept secret of Jack's for months. He'd dug out his old uniform, and bought a pair of tear-away pants to make sure his uniform didn't get ruined. He was both excited and nervous, but it was for a really good cause. Thomas deserved the best birthday possible.

He'd left him a message, telling him to take a seat and wait. But the uniform bit would be a surprise. When it was time, he stepped into the house.

"So here you are, Mr. Barrow. You've been a very hard man to catch," he said in his most professional voice, biting back the smirk. "The chase has been fun, I must admit."

Jack's already doing a little dance with his hips as he approaches his handsome husband. It's been a while since he's danced, but it's coming back to him little by little.

Jack just laid there, completely melted into the sheets beneath him as he bathed in the afterglow. Thomas had that effect on him and he absolutely loved it.

He looked at his husband with a smile, lovingly brushing his fingers through his hair.

"Happy birthday. I love you so much." Jack felt the same way. He truly had everything now.

Thomas looked up at Jack. Then kissed his chest. "I know." He said cheekily. "If I hadn't before, but I did know, then today would have been an amazing way to be told. Not that it wasn't just an amazing day with you anyway."

He lay half on Jack like that enjoying Jack's fingers in his hair. Letting that content afterglow settle between them. Giving a moment to catch their breath too.

"I love you too." Was what he said as a break to the comfortable silence before letting it settle again.

"Lucky me," Jack said with a smile. He kept playing with his husband's hair, enjoying the sweet moment between them. Thomas made him so happy.

"Today's really been so amazing. I'm glad you liked the surprise, darling." He grinned.

"And I'd have liked the surprise just as much as if it had been you walking through the door and giving me a kiss."

Thomas knew Jack wouldn't have done that, but if he had then it would have been fine as well because Jack was making it about him for that day.

"I thought breakfast in bed on a weekday was going to be my highlight." He was thrilled to have been wrong.

"My husband deserves the very best." He smiled fondly at Thomas, gently tugging him closer to kiss him. "The only one I'll strip for." Jack grinned between kisses.

"Does the birthday boy have more wishes?"

Thomas thought so does mine but didn't get a chance to say it as they were kissing instead and he couldn't resist Jack's kisses.

"I'm glad. You wouldn't want to see me all jealous and angry." Thomas pressed a few more kisses to Jack's lips.

Then looked at Jack sidelong as he turned his head a little. "I might." He teased.

"Mm. I'd never want to make you jealous, but I do enjoy your possessive side."

Thomas looked so gorgeous, the way he turned his head and looked at Jack like that. His eyes so soft and full of affection. And that playful glint.

"I'm all ears, darling."

"Well, yes. You are all mine." Thomas moved so he could slip an arm over Jack. While it was true that Thomas did say my husband or my Jack, he never really felt jealousy. He trusted Jack, completely. He didn't mean it any way that he would never let Jack out if his sight. He actually liked spending time apart from Jack. It gave them things to talk about again when they were missing each other. Thomas was firmly in the idea that is made him appreciate Jack even more.

Thomas only ever looked at Jack like that. The love and affection he always felt.

"Well I was going to wait a little while. Need a little recovery time first."

"That's right. I'm all yours." That trust was mutual. He knew how much Thomas loves him and there was never any jealousy. Only the fun, playful possessiveness. The time apart made that love even stronger.

Jack loved going to work each day, knowing he could come back home to Thomas.

"Of course. Take all the time you need." He kissed his husband softly.

"I meant for you." He poked Jack in the chest, then ran his hand up the firm muscles. He could never get enough of that. Jack was stunning, especially like that, looking that little bit dishevelled from their fun. It made it all the sexier.

He snuggled up under Jack's arm, laying it across his own chest so his head could be on Jack's shoulder.

"I was thinking if we are going to have kids I should give up smoking." He couldn't think of a worse time to announce it to Jack. He knew he was going to be a beast to live with while he did it. Might as well start the new year of his life like that.

"Oh," he chuckled sheepishly. "You were so good that it messed up my thoughts." He watched Thomas's hand move on his muscles and he loved that feeling of warmth and affection.

"Oh?"The mention of kids made him smile again. "I'll help you through it. Provide distraction when you need it."

"You mess up my thoughts all the time." Thomas told him. "In a good way." He wanted to reassure his husband and not make it seem a bad thing for either of them. He smiled as he realised Jack was watching what he was doing.

"You might regret that." He kissed Jack lightly. "But I appreciate it. Thank you my darling husband."

"Glad to hear it, darling." Jack gently brushed his fingers on the back of Thomas's hand and down his arm. He returned the light kiss, a happy hum escaping.

"It's all worth it. I'll always be there for you," he murmured with love in his voice.

"Only you." He sighed with smile on his face. Jack had been a man of his word, he had been there for Thomas, and Thomas only hoped that giving up smoking wasn't going to be a thing that came between them then. He didn't think it would be, but it might be one of the more trying times. Before they moved more seriously to adding children to their family. Because that's what they were already. A family.

"You say that now, wait until I'm crabby." He was serious but knew Jack wasn't going to go easily.

He then a little ungracefully rolled to lean across Jack to go into the bedside drawer. Unlike Jack, Thomas hadn't been so prepared. It also was more fun this way.

It was his priority to be the man Thomas deserved. Someone who loved him truly and passionately, and wanted to be his for life. He was ready to face the tough times, to help his husband. It wouldn't be easy at times but Jack wasn't about to back down.

"I'll think of something to distract you," he smirked as he watched Thomas reach into the drawer. "Perfect timing. I've had enough time to recover."

"I'm already thinking of a few things that will." He said rather casually, he'd been thinking of the idea for a while and distractions he could do that included things with his hands and mouth had been thought of consistently as a good idea for a distraction for him. Especially when those things would also be good for making him less cranky.

Thomas glanced over his shoulder. "No you've not." He had but that wasn't what Thomas wanted then. He wanted to tease Jack a little more as a sort of playful revenge for no touching during the lapdance. He found the lube he was looking for, moved to lay on Jack, holding it out of his reach. Gave Jack a kiss on the lips as he sat up. Taking the spot at the end of the bed, away from Jack. Even more teasing him, Thomas had his back to Jack as he was on his knees.

"No touching." Thomas smirked over his shoulder as he carefully and obviously so Jack would be able to see, opened the lube and put some on his fingers before leaning forward and teasing himself in preparation.

As he moved from one finger to adding a second he kept looking over his shoulder to check on Jack.
