It had been another long but productive day at the station, and Jack was more than ready to unwind and spend time with his love. He was all smiles during the drive home and, sure enough, he found Thomas in the garden. Working hard, as usual. He stood there for a moment, watching the man he'd fallen so deeply for, until finally he approached him.

"It looks great here." He wrapped his arms around Thomas' waist from behind and kissed his cheek.

He had never felt anything so good and intense. Thomas was amazing.

He returned the kiss with a smile and watched his husband for a moment. There was no need for words, just two lovers enjoying the afterglow and the closeness of each other.

He reached for Thomas' hand, linking their fingers.

Thomas smiled and let put a happy sigh at he held Jack's hand. Lay together like that there was no world outside Jack.

He leaned in to press his lips to Jack's again. Slow. Lazy kisses like they shared when they weren't in any hurry to do anything except stay with each other. He was quite happy in the comfortable silence only broken by the sound of their breathing.

Jack hummed softly while kissing back, cupping Thomas' cheek with his free hand. He was so handsome and Jack felt so lucky to be his. The silence didn't feel awkward or weird in the slightest.

He snuggled closer to his husband, kissing his chest and resting his head on it.

Thomas wrapped Jack in his arms protectively. Holding him close. Relaxing with him. He closed his eyes listening to Jack's breathing. Almost lulling him to sleep but not quite. He didn't want to just yet. He brushed Jack's hair back.

Jack smiled, his eyes closing as he relaxed completely in his husband's protective embrace. So warm, safe, and comfortable. Thomas' fingers felt so nice brushing his hair back, too. Gentle and loving.

Thomas smiled as he noticed Jack's eyes closing. He kept moving his fingers through Jack's hair. Hoping it would help his love fall asleep a little easier and know Thomas was still there looking after him.

It helped a lot. Jack started dozing off, letting out a happy hum while Thomas played with his hair. It was his weakness and his husband had found it so easily. Soon enough Jack had fallen asleep with so much happiness and love in his heart.
