It had been another long but productive day at the station, and Jack was more than ready to unwind and spend time with his love. He was all smiles during the drive home and, sure enough, he found Thomas in the garden. Working hard, as usual. He stood there for a moment, watching the man he'd fallen so deeply for, until finally he approached him.

"It looks great here." He wrapped his arms around Thomas' waist from behind and kissed his cheek.

Thomas could get lost in the feelings then, knowing Jack was the one there underneath him and touching him. It felt safe like that. Peaceful even. Which he suspected was a strange thing to think like that.

He moved on hand from Jack's chest as he sat up more, not stopping the moan as Jack filled him again fully. He opened his eyes as he stilled, gazing down at Jack with love.

It made perfect sense to Jack, not strange at all. He felt the same way right then. He continued to touch him and smiled at the love in his gaze. The feeling was reflected in Jack's eyes and he sat up to kiss his husband, missing the feeling of his lips against his own.

That would be another reason why Thomas loved Jack so much that he didn't find Thomas and how he thought strange. Thomas's eyes didn't open at the loss of Jack pressed against him and the shift again. But he was mumbling something unclear about it not being fair and then how he was missing Jack against him.

"Not fair." Was all he said when he did open his eyes. Running his hands up Jack's chest again.

He'd hold him and cuddle him afterward because he missed that closeness already, too. He smiled up at his husband and continued to touch him.

"I love you," Jack spoke softly, his gaze full of affection.

"Even more unfair." Thomas sounded breathless as he looked at Jack, face flushed because of the exercise he was doing and just from Jack's look at him.

"Love you too husband of mine."

"For better or for worse." He smiled wider, tugging him closer for a kiss as he started thrusting up into him so he could stay still and rest for a while. It was so wonderfully intense doing this with the man he loved.

"Always." Thomas moaned into the kiss, he loved that Jack was taking charge giving him a brief break and a chance to catch his breath.

"I'll always protect you," Jack said, followed by a moan. He was happy to take charge for a while and let Thomas catch his breath.

He drove his hips up to aim for that spot again, to draw out more of those lovely noises.

A couple more thrusts and Jack caught the right spot for Thomas in such a way that he couldn't even think or do before making a whine of pleasure as he came.

He looked a little apologetic at Jack. Not having the chance to warn him.

He returned the kiss with a smile and watched his husband for a moment. There was no need for words, just two lovers enjoying the afterglow and the closeness of each other.

He reached for Thomas' hand, linking their fingers.

Thomas smiled and let put a happy sigh at he held Jack's hand. Lay together like that there was no world outside Jack.

He leaned in to press his lips to Jack's again. Slow. Lazy kisses like they shared when they weren't in any hurry to do anything except stay with each other. He was quite happy in the comfortable silence only broken by the sound of their breathing.

Jack hummed softly while kissing back, cupping Thomas' cheek with his free hand. He was so handsome and Jack felt so lucky to be his. The silence didn't feel awkward or weird in the slightest.

He snuggled closer to his husband, kissing his chest and resting his head on it.

Thomas wrapped Jack in his arms protectively. Holding him close. Relaxing with him. He closed his eyes listening to Jack's breathing. Almost lulling him to sleep but not quite. He didn't want to just yet. He brushed Jack's hair back.

Jack smiled, his eyes closing as he relaxed completely in his husband's protective embrace. So warm, safe, and comfortable. Thomas' fingers felt so nice brushing his hair back, too. Gentle and loving.

Thomas smiled as he noticed Jack's eyes closing. He kept moving his fingers through Jack's hair. Hoping it would help his love fall asleep a little easier and know Thomas was still there looking after him.

It helped a lot. Jack started dozing off, letting out a happy hum while Thomas played with his hair. It was his weakness and his husband had found it so easily. Soon enough Jack had fallen asleep with so much happiness and love in his heart.
