It had been another long but productive day at the station, and Jack was more than ready to unwind and spend time with his love. He was all smiles during the drive home and, sure enough, he found Thomas in the garden. Working hard, as usual. He stood there for a moment, watching the man he'd fallen so deeply for, until finally he approached him.

"It looks great here." He wrapped his arms around Thomas' waist from behind and kissed his cheek.

Usually he liked to be clean-cut with his appearance, but with Thomas, he loved getting a little messy. The look on his lover's face made it so worth it, too.

He grinned back as he kept moving, wanting to bring Thomas over the edge. He made sure to kiss all the sweet spots.

Thomas didn't dislike the clean cut appearance either, because that usually meant Jack wearing a tie. Which had been useful on more than on occasion for them. There was something for Thomas about getting to pull Jack to him by his tie so he could kiss him and that usually led him to pull Jack on top of him.

It wasn't going to take much more, being looked at like that by Jack, the kisses and that Jack managed to hit the right spot for him. He was right in what he thought and he was able to come without touching himself. His come covering his stomach and some ending up on Jack. He gently stroked the back of Jack's neck, telling him as he lay there.

Jack had never been happier about his work outfit involving ties. There was nothing he liked more than being pulled in by Thomas. The best 'welcome home'.

He groaned in approval when he felt the splash of his lover's release on his skin and it didn't take him long to reach his own climax, filling Thomas with shaky thrusts.

He smiled before kissing the handsome man under him.

It was their welcome home. The days Jack needed it the most Thomas made sure he was there waiting. The few times he hadn't welcomed Jack home with that kiss he'd had other surprises planned. He had more ideas for the future too when it mattered.

Thomas closed his eyes with a groan of pure pleasure as Jack filled him. He knew why Jack had enjoyed it before because he did himself. Smiling as he felt Jack's lips against his, causing him to open his eyes to look into Jack's.

Jack loved Thomas' surprises. They were so fun and special, and very enjoyable. And they quickly took his mind off anything stressful or upsetting.

That groan sounded so incredible. He continued the kiss for a while longer, pouring all his love into it, before he started making his way down to lick the come off Thomas' stomach, like he'd done to him earlier.

That was Thomas' plan for them. To make Jack feel better. Even if it wasn't perfect it was a plan to he stuck to making sure Jack had something good to come back to.

Kisses from Jack were always sweet, if they were in all their haste and passion between the two of them when they got messy and carried away with just needing each other in the moment. But they were always sweet and full of love, like those were then. Thomas could just tell how much Jack loved him, it scared him when he first realised but now, now he gave back as much as Jack loved him. The fear gone, replaced with a solid knowledge that they would spend as long as they could together and it was going to take a lot to keep them apart.

He let Jack lick his stomach clean before he pulled him up to kiss him again. Thomas tasted himself as he kissed Jack after that, maybe he hadn't noticed before but he didn't object to it. Jack's kisses were what he wanted more. They were an addiction he was never going to give up.

Thomas was always successful at that. Jack only felt good things with him.

Kissing Thomas was his favorite thing to do, just like making love to him. It was so sweet and intoxicating, and he was completely hooked. He'd never imagined he could feel so much love. No need to hide himself anymore and Thomas could finally experience the love he'd been denied for so long. It made him angry to think how Thomas couldn't enjoy himself properly. How he couldn't express his emotions and love freely before.

"Your kisses are addicting, darling," he murmured between kisses, his fingers caressing wherever they could reach.

Thomas hadn't really thought about it before Jack had entered his life. He'd just pushed it down and ignored it mostly.

"I think the same thing with yours." He managed to reply keeping their kisses going and threading their fingers together as he held Jack's hand.

"It's a good thing we can kiss each other as much as we want." He gave Thomas' hand a light, affectionate squeeze. He'd make sure to shower him with love each and every day. They had the rest of their lives together now.

"I love you, Thomas Barrow-Robinson," he grinned as he waited for Thomas' reaction. It could be their secret, private thing.

Thomas stopped, looked at Jack with one eyebrow slightly lifted. Unclear if he was unimpressed or just confused.

"There you go again, assuming that I'm happy with it that way." He was. Oh he more than was. Like the way he affectionately could call Jack husband sometimes and that Jack called him it in return which felt even better.

He moved to settle closer to Jack, chin on his shoulder and arm that wasn't still holding Jack's hand draped across Jack. "One day I'd be allowed to have that name." He supposed he could do it then, just use Jack's name but then people might assume they were brothers or other relations and he didn't want it that way.

"I love you too, but I'm not calling you that, husband."

"Can't help myself." Jack loved the way Thomas would call him husband in that pointed, endearing way. It made it even better to say it back to him. It felt so right and so natural, even if the world wasn't ready for that.

He hugged Thomas closer, kissing his forehead with a fond smile. "And it'd be an honor. I'd love for the world to know, if it were possible right now."

Jack chuckled fondly. "Oh 'husband' is more than enough. It's special enough already."

"Hmm." Was all he said.

Thomas would turn his back on the world in a heartbeat to spend it with Jack. It hadn't done much good for him after all. A few things right but the main one was what he'd give it all up for. Who was right then holding him close so the rest of the world didn't exist as far as Thomas was concerned.

"One day." Thomas repeated. He knew it certainly wouldn't be in his lifetime right then. He could only hope.

"I enjoy calling you that."

Jack would do the same. This love meant the world to him and he'd protect Thomas with everything he had. He caressed his lover's back while kissing his lips softly.

"The feeling is mutual."

He drifted off into his thoughts for a moment. For the first time in a while, his mind was filled with only good things. No stressing over a case or anything like that.

Thomas pressed in against Jack, feeling the warmth of his skin and it always felt good like that. He watched Jack drift to his own thoughts which made him smile.

"Penny for them." He asked Jack. "Or a kiss for them." That was more reasonable then. "Your thoughts." He added to clarify.

"I was just thinking how happy I've felt lately. How amazing this all is." He gladly gave him a kiss, caressing his cheek. "And how sexy my husband is."

"I know what you mean. It still feels like a dream somehow and im going to wake up back in that bed back in Downton." Without you. which he didn't want to be true. He could cope being back there but without Jack was the worst.

"I know mine is." He smiled, leaning to Jack's hand.

"This is all real, don't worry. I will always be here when you wake up." He'd hate to find out it was just a dream, too.

"It's all this muscle, hm?" Jack grinned mischievously.

Thomas looked at Jack. "I don't know how it would be without you." He did. He knew it would be awful. Like missing part of him.

"Well certainly one." Thomas ran his hand down Jack's stomach but stopped short to be a little tease to Jack.

"Good thing we'll never have to find out." Jack hated imagining a life without Thomas. He hated the idea of waking up in an empty bed, without the warmth of his husband.

"Mhm. I can tell." The teasing was very appreciated. Thomas knew how to get Jack to want more.

Thomas was the most thankful about that. Those thoughts could be pushed away and just focus on Jack there next to him right then and those muscles under his hand as it rested on Jack's abdomen. He drew a random pattern with a finger, teasing him some more.

"I don't know what you mean." Trying to sound more aloof as he teased his husband.

Jack chuckled softly. It was so endearing when Thomas tried to sound aloof while knowing exactly what he was doing.

That light touch sent a pleasant surge of arousal through his body, something that only Thomas could do to him.

"If you say so," he smirked, his hand sliding down his lover's back to lightly pat his behind.

"I do say so." Thomas tried again, but the laughter from Jack made everything softer and he wanted to cuddle Jack more. "I miss this when you're out." Having someone there with him. He kept himself busy but it was just a distraction.

"I can leave one of my shirts with you, if it helps." He murmured, holding Thomas close to him. He missed him so much whenever he was working, but it made the reunion even more worth it.

"I'll make sure to hold you lots and give you kisses before I leave."

"I'd like that." He knew that Jack's clothes were there anyway but one that was left for him was different.

He smiled. "I'd like that even more."

"You can wear it and think of me." He smiled at the idea of Thomas wearing his clothes. He'll look so good in them. And out of them.

He leaned in to give Thomas a little preview of those kisses.
